God is My Helper

His second son was named Eliezer, for Moses had said, “The God of my ancestors was my helper.”

Exodus 18:3

God is my helper, and yours.

He helps us in everything we do.

About this time, Abimelech came…to visit Abraham. “God is obviously with you, helping you in everything you do,” Abimelech said.

Genesis 21:22

We can count on God to help us in the places of oppression and injustice in our lives. We can be certain He will lead us to liberty.

…God will surely come to help you and lead you out of this land of Egypt.

Genesis 50:24

When we don’t know what to do, God helps us by opening our eyes to just the right solution.

So Moses cried out to the Lord for help, and the Lord showed him a piece of wood. Moses threw it into the water, and this made the water good to drink.

Exodus 15:25

The Lord helps us keep our promises.

“Stay here for now, and may the Lord help you keep your promise.” So she (Hannah) stayed home and nursed the boy until he was weaned.

1 Samuel 1:23

God helps us by turning our attackers away from us.

So when the Aramean chariot commanders saw Jehoshaphat in his royal robes, they went after him. “There is the king of Israel!” they shouted. But Jehoshaphat called out, and the Lord saved him. God helped him by turning the attackers away from him.

2 Chronicles 18:31

The Lord helps us when we have no idea what to do.

O our God, won’t you stop them? We are powerless against this mighty army that is about to attack us. We do not know what to do, but we are looking to you for help.”

2 Chronicles 20:12

God helps us fight our battles.

“He may have a great army, but they are merely men. We have the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles for us!” Hezekiah’s words greatly encouraged the people.

2 Chronicles 32:8

God does not belittle us for needing help.

For he has not ignored or belittled the suffering of the needy. He has not turned his back on them but has listened to their cry for help.

Psalm 22:24

The Lord doesn’t just give help; He gives great joy. God is my helper; I am not ashamed.

The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.

Psalm 28:7

 

Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces.

Psalm 34:5

God restores our health and helps us when we are sick.

O Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you restored my health.
